Classroom ExpectationsMost assignments that are required in the technology curriculum are designed to be completed during classroom time. If it becomes necessary to put extra time into a particular assignment the middle school children have home room time available to them if they sign up for lab time and have teacher permission. Rarely they will receive homework, but if that occurs they will be given an extended amount of time to complete it, such as a week.
Middle School GradingGrading in technology will be done with a letter grade determined by the percentage grade earned. We will no longer be using the pass/fail grading for middle school technology. You can check on your grade by clicking on the word RENWEB to access your account.

Primary Sites the Middle School Children will visit
You TubeWe will be cautiously visiting You Tube, as there are many reasonable instructional videos to see, especially when we are looking for ways to remember small things about the program when we get involved in their future careers. I am hoping the children will remember that You Tube is a valuable tool for reference in the future.
Google ChromeThe children will spend a significant amount of time understanding the use and comparison of multiple Microsoft and Google programs. They will compare and contrast browsers, programs, and applications for use on muliptle levels.
Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets will be used!
|
CodeThe children will be using code instructional sites to build a better understanding of problem solving methodology when applied to real life situations
|
Typing ClubThe children use this "hands-on" typing instructional site to improve their speed and precision with keyboarding techniques, such as homerow, finger positioning, and correct posture.
